FIGWASPE is the work of Hanna Hurr, a culinary and horticultural artist creating food and flora installations, concepts and visuals in New York and globally on location. Her work seeks to evoke earthly beauty and design, and honor the natural world through high concept and artful construction. Her studio is lovingly named after the fig wasp, whose life cycle and symbiotic sacrifice have perpetuated the thriving of the fig tree since ancient times.

FIGWASPE’s installations and work draw on advanced culinary technique, artistic sensibility and horticultural and design technology to capture ephemeral beauty, center flavor as artistic medium and create immersive experiences.
