FIGWASPE is the work of Hanna Hurr, a chef and artist based in Brooklyn, NY, bringing to life conceptual food and flora experiences, installations and visual projects. Her work seeks to evoke the earthly beauty and inherent roots of cuisine, and honor the natural world’s designs through high concept. Her studio is lovingly named after the fig wasp, whose life cycle and symbiotic sacrifice have perpetuated the thriving of the fig tree since ancient times.
FIGWASPE’s installations and work draw from advanced culinary technique, artistic sensibility and horticultural and design technology to capture ephemeral beauty, center flavor as artistic medium and create immersive experiences.
